MELBOURNE, Fla -- Earlier today, the Sunshine State Conference awarded Senior outfielder
Jake Roper Player of the Week honors for the last week of the 2022 season.
Roper earned this award after an impressive series this past weekend against Florida Tech. He tallied six hits and four RBIs over the course of the three games. His best performance came during the second game of the series against the Panthers. He smashed two home runs in route to a dominating 15-3 PBA win. Roper is the sixth Sailfish player to earn weekly honors from the Sunshine State Conference.
Roper finished out the season strong is his final campaign in a Sailfish jersey. In his last 10 games of the season, he's managed 12 hits and seven RBIs. For his career, he has been one of the better hitters for PBA, tallying 64 hits, 14 doubles, 36 RBIs, and seven home runs.
