TAMPA, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team competed for the first time in nearly three weeks on Saturday at the Sunshine State Conference Invite hosted by the University of Tampa.
Dune Costes started the day by finishing sixth for the Sailfish in the 1500m with a time of 4:49.98.
Sadie Nordmeyer placed 20th in the event with a personal best time of 5:01.18.
Allison Seng,
Emma Baron, and
Christin Sustar competed in the 5k event. Seng led the way, finishing fourth with a personal best time of 18:06.84. Baron (19:38.04) finished seventh narrowly beating Sustar who placed eighth with a time of 19:41.85.
Costes competed again in the 800m. She finished fifth (2:22.34) for the Sailfish, just missing a personal record.
Gwendelyn Shamel earned a top ten finish after running a personal record, of 2:29.49.
Kathleen Boshka (2:35.08) finished 13th,
Katie Kanagy (2:39.48) placed 16th, and
Faith Kulis (2:52.67) earned 18th.
Boshka, Costes, Shamel, and Nordmeyer teamed up for the 4x400m event to end the day. The team finished fourth, setting a new school record with a time of 4:20.80.
The Sailfish travel to Jacksonville for their last meet of the season on April 29.
