TAVARES, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic beach volleyball team wrapped up play at the AVCA Small College Championship today. After their lone loss of the six-match tournament against Spring Hill sent them to the silver bracket, the Sailfish took down Carson Newman 4-1 before defeating Texas A&M - Kingsville 4-1.

The Sailfish squared off with the Eagles in the semifinals of the silver bracket.
Jazz Schmidt and
Lunden Evans continued to be victorious at the No. 1 position taking the opening set 21-14 and the second 21-17.
Lyndzey Minter and
Abby DeVido looked impressive in their No. 2 match as they were victorious 21-9, 21-10. The Eagles won their lone point at the No. 3 match, as
Julia Golichowski and
Karla Cantero fell in straight sets 21-19, 23-21.
Olivia Finckel and
Abigail Mason bounced back from dropping the opening set 21-16 and won the final two sets 21-9, 15-10.
Gabriella Aziz and
Emma Vann cruised in their No. 5 match, winning 21-13, 21-17.
Match 2: PBA - 4, TAMUK - 1
The Sailfish faced off with the Javelina to see who would be named champions of the silver bracket. The Sailfish came out on top as Schmidt and Evans were victorious in their No. 1 match 21-18, 21-13. The Sailfish top pair finishes their season with a 27-6 record. DeVido and Minter won their No. 2 match in straight sets, 21-19, 21-12 to move their season record to 22-11. The 'Fish fell in the No. 3 match as Golichowski and Cantero lost 21-13, 21-17. Finckel and Mason were solid all tournament as they won at No. 4 21-9. 21-18 and Aziz and Vann wrapped up the 4-1 victory by winning in three sets, 24-22, 11-21, 15-13.
The Sailfish season ends with a 20-14 record overall as the Sailfish went 5-1 in play during the AVCA postseason.Â
