LAKELAND, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team played in the Division II Men's & Women's South ITA Regional Championship over the weekend at Florida Southern College. 

Elvira Edstrom and Verena Weindl competed in the doubles bracket. In the round of 32, the pair got knocked out by the University of West Alabama's Valeria Arevalo and Heden Ly 8-3. The group of Anabelle Robichaud and Jasmine Williams were seeded at No.23. In the round of 64, they lost to No.24 UWA's Katia De La Garza and Haina Franco 8-1. 

Individually, Williams dropped two sets in the round of 64 to Barry's Deniz Khazan 6-1, 6-2. Edstrom dropped two sets to Rollin's Alexander Borg 6-2, 6-1 in the round of 64. Wiendl went down to CBU's Raquel Amaro 6-1, 6-1. Anabelle Robichaud advanced to the round of 32 due to an player injury. She lost her match against Barry's Kim Moosbacker 6-1, 6-0. Weindl advanced to the round of 16 in the consolation bracket, but came up short against Embry-Riddle's Julia Mautner in a close match 6-4, 1-6 [10-8].
