Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis picked up their first 9-0 win of the season on Thursday, defeating Davis & Elkins by that score in their third straight win.
The Sailfish didn't drop a set along the way to victory on Thursday morning with three players only losing two games or less in their victories. Both Thomas Salmon and Miguel Paz dropped just one game as they won at No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Rodolfo Hasegawa also had little trouble, winning at No. 3 by a score of 6-1, 6-1.
Pato Zarazua had the toughest match of the day, winning at No. 1, 6-4, 6-4 over Matthew Mulyadi. Bernardo Ferreira was also a winner (6-3, 6-1) at No. 2 as was Pietro de Silva (6-3, 6-2) at No. 4.
In doubles the Sailfish cruised with the duos of Zarazua/de Silva, Ferreira/Carlos Niemeyer and Salmon/Stanislav Feofilov all picking up victories.
The 'Fish will close out their time in South Carolina with a match Friday morning against Tusculum at 8 a.m.
