Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis picked up their second straight victory on Wednesday, defeating Chowan University 6-3.
The Sailfish improve to 5-4 on the season with the win while the Hawks drop to 4-4. Just like on Tuesday the 'Fish used doubles play to their advantage, sweeping all three matches. In singles play PBA won all three of their matches at the bottom of the lineup in straight sets.
Pietro de Silva picked up a win at No. 4 singles, defeating Mariano Yeh 6-2, 6-3. Thomas Salmon earned a win at No. 5 over Rafael Goncalves 6-4, 6-0 while Carlos Niemeyer won at No. 6 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles play it was Pato Zarazua teaming up with de Silva to win a tight one at No. 1, 8-6 over Ghassan Alansi and Adi Kaliakperov. Rodolfo Hasegawa and Salmon won at No. 2 by the same 8-6 score as Bernardo Ferreira and Niemeyer were victorious at No. 3, 8-5.
The 'Fish are back in action for the third straight day on Thursday, taking on Davis & Elkins at 8:30 a.m.
