WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis continued their winning ways on Wednesday, defeating DIII No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus 6-3 at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.

The 'Fish have won three straight after dropping their season opener last weekend. PBA took a 2-1 lead after doubles, winning at both No. 2 and No. 3. The duos of Pato Zarazua/Pietro de Silva and Philipp Hoffmann/Carlos Niemeyer were able to secure victories. Hoffmann and Niemeyer had their struggles, winning 8-6 with Zarazua and de Silva had a little easier time, winning 8-3.

In singles play the depth of the Sailfish came to light with the 'Fish taking wins at No. 2, 4, 5 and 6. Hoffmann was the lone winner in the top half of the lineup, needing three sets to taking down Patrick Whaling. Whaling took the opening set 6-1 before Hoffmann returned the favor 6-1. In the third it was Hoffmann who was able to pick up the win 6-3.

In the bottom half of the lineup Rodolfo Hasegawa, de Silva and Niemeyer were all straight sets winners. It was the third victory of the season for Hawegawa and de Silva while Niemeyer earned his first victory of the season.

The Sailfish will be back in action on the road this weekend, playing three teams ranked in the ITA DII Top-25. The 'fish will take on Valdosta State on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in their first match.
