Box Score St. PETERSBURG, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team was victorious Sunday afternoon, beating Eckerd College 7-2. The win Sunday was their 16th in a row, bringing the Sailfish to 17-2 on the season.
The Sailfish wasted no time on the afternoon, taking two of the three doubles competitions. The tandem of Romain Nowaczyk and Nicolas Uryson won 8-5, and the duo of Nicholas Battistini and Fernando Arroyo were also victorious, winning 9-7.
On the singles side, the Sailfish made easy work of the Tritons, winning 5 of the 6 sets. Nowaczyk picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory. No. 28-ranked Uryson won 6-0, 7-5 while Mark Heimberger was victorious 6-1, 6-4. Battistini won 6-2, 6-3 and Matt Leeds rounded out the afternoon for the Sailfish, winning 8-4.
The Sailfish conclude their regular season this Saturday afternoon as they head to Miami Shores, Florida to take on Barry University at 3 pm. The Buccaneers are currently 18-0 and ranked No. 3 nationally.
