Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Playing a good portion of his roster throughout the three sets of action on Wednesday evening saw head coach Bob White see his team perform well to the tune of a 3-0 volleyball sweep over Northwood University at the Rubin Arena. On a night that saw Chick-fil-a in the house as they sponsored the first bi-annual Scholar-Athlete Night, the Sailfish volleyball team would have little trouble in improving their record to 22-3 on the season.
The Sailfish cruised to 25-15, 25-12, and 25-14 wins as they sweep the season series from the Seahawks who dropped to 8-19 on the season.
Junior Mariela Quesada, fresh off her being named NCCAA National Player of the Week, led the way with 12 kills for PBA while Janeen McCormick and Christina Alessi each added in five kills.
Senior Allie Warren and Melissa McPeek each produced double-digits in digs with Warren collecting 11 and McPeek adding in 10 digs.
Freshman setter Becca Acevedo paced the offense with 22 assists on the night.
The Seahawks were held to a negative hitting percentage as they were limited to 14 kills and 20 hitting errors.
Natalie Harville led the squad with six kills while Megan Jackson finished with 10 digs.
