Box Score CENTRAL, S.C.- Needing the minimum number of sets for a two-match sweep at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) South Regional volleyball tournament this weekend, the Palm Beach Atlantic University squad closed out the South Regional Championship with a 3-0 win over host-school Southern Wesleyan University.
Junior Lanae Robinson led the Sailfish attack to their 23rd win of the season as PBA dominated the first two sets over SWU with 25-17 and 25-13 wins then fought back from a 22-17 deficit in game three to claim a 27-25 win to close out the tournament.
Following Robinson in kills was sophomore Mariela Quesada who managed 12 kills while Janeen McCormick posted eight kills.
Not all statistics are available at this time but other PBA players to perform well included Allie Warren with 21 digs and Jessica Way with 31 assists in the three games.
PBA will now begin preparing for the NCCAA National Tournament to be held in Kissimmee, Florida on December 2-4.
