DURANGO, Colo.- Concluding their trip to Colorado, the Palm Beach Atlantic University volleyball team wrapped up tournament play by facing the host school Fort Lewis College in the tournament finale on Saturday night. Things didn’t go as planned for the Sailfish as FLC dominated to the tune of a clean 3-0 sweep over PBA.

Seemingly gaining momentum as the match went on, FLC opened play with a 25-15 victory followed up by two more dominating frames of 25-14 and 25-9 to close out the tournament.

FLC kept the frontline of PBA in check as the Fish managed just 18 kills compared to 33 kills for the home-standing Skyhawks.

Senior Brittany Erickson totaled a team-high five kills in the three-game sweep for PBA while Kristin Carroll added in four kills.

Jessica Way, a freshman product of Lincoln, Nebraska, led the Sailfish setting attempts as she collected 10 assists. Sophomore Jennifer Eldridge added in a team-high eight digs to represent the defensive effort for PBA.

PBA will return home to Florida for a road date on Wednesday, September 10th against the top-ranked team in the Sunshine State Conference in Florida Southern College. First tip is scheduled for 7 pm in Lakeland, Florida.
