WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team, moved into the No. 24 ranking in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II National Poll. The Sailfish entered the season ranked No. 12 in the preseason poll before opening the 2026 campaign last week with a 1-0-1 record against a pair of tough South Atlantic Conference opponents.

PBA began its season on Aug. 27 with an impressive 2-0 victory over reigning SAC Tournament Champion Lincoln Memorial at the Rinker Athletic Campus. The Sailfish defense held the Railsplitters without a goal while PBA found the back of the net once in each half to secure the season-opening victory.

The 'Fish followed the win with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Carson-Newman on Aug. 29. Kobi Thomas scored both goals for Palm Beach Atlantic, but the Eagles answered each Sailfish lead to earn the draw. After a 2-0 win at Nova Southeastern and the draw with the 'Fish, Carson-Newman entered the national rankings this week at No. 19, giving PBA an early test against another nationally recognized opponent.

The Sailfish look to continue their strong start as they hit the road for the first time this season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night against Young Harris in Young Harris, Georgia. The Mountain Lions are the reigning Conference Carolinas champion and earned a 1-1 draw with Lynn on Sunday afternoon. Wednesday's match marks the first matchup between the programs. Young Harris traveled to West Palm Beach last season for the NCAA Tournament but fell 2-0 to Flagler in the first round matchup.
