MIRAMAR, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's track team competed at the NSU Shark Invitation on Saturday.
PBA started the day with the 5000m race.
Chris Cotilla led the way, earning the fifth-place finish with a personal best time of 15:52.79.
Max Buonomo followed in eighth running a time of 16:09.55.
Michael Kirwan represented the 'Fish in the 3000m steeplechase. He placed third with a personal best time of 10:13.63.
Jamin Dewitt led the way for PBA in the 800m race. He placed seventh with a time of 1:57.12.
Hans Payne was right behind in eighth with a personal best time of 1:58.59. Dewitt and Payne each notched top-10 times in program history.
Carlos Santiago placed 16
th with a time of 2:02.55.
Zach Avalos finished 19
th with a mark of 2:04.40.
Christian Ayers (2:09.45) earned 31
st followed by
Andrew Duda (2:19.01) in 37
th.
Payne was the best finisher for the Sailfish in the 1500m. He placed ninth with a time of 4:08.19. Dewitt earned 13
th in the event with a time of 4:11.93.
Baden Tull finished in 21
st with a personal time of 4:21.03.
Jack Colvin placed 35
th with a mark of 4:35.77.
Zach Avalos notched a 36
th-place finish with a mark of 4:37.10.
PBA competes again on April 11 at the HBCU Relays in Miramar, Fla.
