WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team lost to Eckerd with a final score of 0-4 on Thursday at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The 'Fish managed to secure a win in the No. 1 doubles match, but Eckerd claimed victory by sweeping the singles.
In doubles action, the Sailfish saw success with
Peter Dragar and
Milan Visontai securing a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. However, the team of
Noah Muyale and
Matthew Young faced a tough 0-6 loss at No. 2 doubles.
Saidakbar Kamalov and
Alejandro Rol Franco fought hard but fell short in a close 7-6(1) match at No. 3 doubles.
During the singles matches,
Alejandro Rol Franco was defeated 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Matthew Young also faced a challenging match, resulting in a 6-2, 6-1 loss at No. 5 singles.
Saidakbar Kamalov concluded his singles match with a 6-4, 6-2 defeat at No. 6 singles. The other singles matches were unfinished, leaving the overall match result in favor of Eckerd.
The Sailfish men's tennis team returns to the court on Saturday when they head up the road to take on Flagler at 9 a.m.Â
