TAMPA, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's track team competed at the Tampa Spartans Classic on Friday.
PBA's day was highlighted by a standout performance by
Charlie Roberts. He set two school records in the 1500m and the 800m. He took home first place in the 1500m with a time of 3:52.26. Later in the day he earned fifth in the 800m running a 1:54.08.
The Sailfish had several personal records in the 1500m.
Alain Flores set a new personal record and placed fifth in the 1500m, running a top-five time in program history (4:00.80).
Hans Payne earned ninth with a personal best time of 4:06.46.
Jamin Dewitt finished 12
th with a personal best mark of 4:10.34.
Payne set another personal best in the 800m, finishing 11
th with a time of 2:01.89.
Aedon Lydon earned a seventh-place finish in the 5000m with top-three time in program history.
Max Buonomo finished 29
th with a time of 15:55.42.
Chris Cotilla was right behind him in 30
th with a time of 15:58.19.
Michael Kirwan placed 40
th with a time of 16:59.90.
The Sailfish compete again next weekend at the UCF Black & Gold Invite in Orlando, Fla.
