WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team lost to Lynn University with a final score of 0-4 on Thursday at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The 'Fish tied one doubles match at the No. 1 position, but Lynn secured victory by winning two doubles matches and three singles matches. The match was played as a clinch match.
Lynn took the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. At No. 3 doubles,
Saidakbar Kamalov and
Marko Visontai fell 6-2.
Noah Muyale and
Matthew Young also faced a 6-2 defeat at No. 2 doubles. On court one,
Peter Dragar and
Milan Visontai were leading 5-3 when the match was left unfinished.
In singles play,
Matthew Young was defeated in straight sets at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Bernardo Moutinho also fell at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-0.
Milan Visontai was defeated at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2, which clinched the match for Lynn.
The remaining singles matches on courts two, three, and five were left unfinished, with PBA showing resilience. On court two,
Lucas Hoyos was tied at one set each, and on court three,
Alejandro Rol Franco was involved in a closely contested match. On court five,
Marko Visontai was evenly matched before the match was called.
The Sailfish have a week off before returning to the court on Mar. 19 when they take on Eckerd at 2 p.m. at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
