WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Daniel Calvelli has been promoted to assistant director of athletic communications after spending time as a part-time assistant this spring and as an intern during his time as an undergraduate at PBA.

"Being able to contribute to Sailfish Athletics as a student at PBA was one of the best opportunities I was able to have here," said Calvelli. "I'm excited to keep doing what I love to do as a full-time member of the PBA athletic department."

Calvelli joins the Sailfish staff in a full-time capacity after serving as a seasonal assistant in the PBA athletics department during the beginning of the 2026 spring semester, where he continued his creative efforts while also serving as a primary contact for both lacrosse prorgrams and beach volleyball. Calvelli also spent time with PBA athletics as creative student worker in his time as an undergrad. He graduated in December of 2025 with a B.A. in communication and spent time in the PBA sports broadcasting program.  

"I am pleased to have Dan join us in a full-time role," said Cole Helman, Assistant Athletic Director of Communications. "He helped elevate our content as a student worker for two and a half years and was a key component to our social media growth. I am excited to see how he will continue to grow professionally while leading our creative efforts."

In addition to his work at PBA, Calvelli gained valuable Division I experience as a Creative Video Intern with the Army West Point Athletic Association. While with Army, he produced creative video content for football and men's basketball, contributed coverage during the Patriot League Baseball Championship Series, and served on the game-day production team for the 2024 and 2025 Army–Navy Game. Calvelli's multimedia portfolio also includes freelance photography and videography at major sporting events, including coverage of Inter Miami CF in MLS competition, MLB Spring Training games, and events within the Premier Lacrosse League.
