HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Sailfish sailed to victory with a 10-7 win over Alabama Huntsville at John Hunt Park on Friday evening, lifting their record to 3-2. PBA's third-quarter surge, where they outpaced the Chargers 4-2, was crucial. The 'Fish dominated the ground game, scooping up a season-high 56 ground balls to control the flow of play.
Braylon Baker was on fire with four goals and three assists, tallying a career-best seven points.
Gabe Eckhart also shone, netting four goals, including the decisive one, marking a personal milestone.
William Sloyan added a power play goal, shooting 2-for-3, while
Tyler Degirolamo was a force in the face-off circle, winning 11 of 19.
The action kicked off with Alabama Huntsville grabbing an early lead, thanks to Jake Bertils. But PBA's defense stepped up, creating a turnover that set the stage for Baker to get the 'Fish on the board at 7:42, cutting the deficit to one.
After another Chargers goal, the Sailfish kept their cool. Baker equalized at 2:46, and the first quarter wrapped up with a 2-2 tie, setting the tone for a tightly contested battle.
Early in the second quarter, Sloyan broke the deadlock on an extra-man opportunity, assisted by Baker. The momentum stayed with the 'Fish as Eckhart found the net, with a helper from
