TAMPA, Fla. — The Palm Beach Atlantic University women's track team competed Saturday at the Tampa Spartans Open, posting solid efforts in several distance events as the 2026 outdoor season got under way.
In the 800 meters, sophomore
Hannah Atwell represented the Sailfish, finishing sixth with a time of 2:27.20.
In the 1500 meters,
Nella Petersen paced PBA with a 26th-place finish in 5:20.02, while senior
Amberleigh Sorensen placed 28th in 5:23.45. Teammate
Darah Oniwa also competed, finishing 37
th with a time of 5:40.70.
The Sailfish distance corps continued strong in the 3000 meters, led by senior
Dominyka Petraskaite, who finished fourth in 10:07.03, the second-best mark in program history. Also representing the Sailfish were Jennifer Corroy (ninth, 10:34.06), Daisy Struk (10th, 10:34.31),
Kamea Baker (13th, 10:45.85), Addison Galloway (15th, 10:47.52) and Bella Del Busto (17th, 10:59.11.) Corroy, Struk, Baker, and Galloway each finished with top-10 times in program history.
PBA races again at the NSU Alumni Invite on Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
