BOCA RATON, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team lost to Lynn University 6-1 on Tuesday. The 'Fish secured their only match win in doubles at the No. 3 position.
Lynn took the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. The 'Fish managed a hard-fought victory at No. 3 doubles, with
Marko Visontai and
Saidakbar Kamalov edging out their opponents 7-6.
In singles play, the 'Fish faced tough competition.
Milan Visontai battled at No. 1 singles but was defeated 6-4, 6-3.
Lucas Hoyos put up a fight at No. 2 singles but fell 6-4, 6-3.
Imani Beharry competed at No. 3 singles but was overcome 6-0.
Marko Visontai also faced a challenging match at No. 4 singles, concluding with a 6-1, 6-1 loss.
Alejandro Rol Franco delivered a bright spot for the 'Fish with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at No. 5 singles.
Matthew Young rounded out the singles lineup, competing at No. 6 singles, but was bested 6-2, 6-1.
The men's tennis program returns to competion on Thursday afternoon when they host Barry at 2 p.m. at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
