WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach Atlantic head softball coach Kasey Cox announced on Thursday, August 7 that Gabby Sacco will join the Sailfish as an assistant coach. Sacco was a member of the Florida Atlantic Owls for the past four seasons as a starting pitcher.

"I am thrilled to welcome Gabby to PBA," said Coach Cox. "She brings a high wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the game. Gabby will be an incredible asset to our pitching staff and program as a whole. We're excited for the impact she will have both on and off the field!"

Sacco has been a senior instructor at the Altamonte Fastpitch Academy since 2018. While at the academy she has taught youth athletes pitching mechanics, game strategy, and mental toughness. Also, she has designed practice plans and managed games.

"I'm incredibly blessed and honored to take on this new role at PBA," said Sacco. "I look forward to bringing my passion and dedication to the team as we work together toward continued growth within our faith and success on and off the field. I am excited to see what the future holds for this team!"

Sacco was a four-year starter in the circle for the Owls down in Boca Raton. Over the course of her career, Sacco pitched in 98 games while sporting a 2.84 ERA and a record of 46-23. During her sophomore season she threw a no-hitter against Illinois State and was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Year. She threw a second career no-hitter against Missouri State during her senior season.
