WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Owen Anderson has been promoted to the role of assistant director of athletic communications after spending one year as a graduate assistant in the same department.  

"After spending a year learning and gaining experience, I am ready for the challenge of beginning a full-time role with PBA and continuing to develop my skill set," said Anderson. "I want to thank Cole Helman, T.J. Budd, Courtney Lovely Evans and Briley Lawson for their help throughout the process and am excited to get to work with the Sailfish this season." 

During his year as a graduate assistant, Anderson served as the primary contact for many Sailfish teams including women's basketball, tennis, baseball, women's soccer, golf and cross country. He also served as a public address announcer at numerous Sailfish games and filled in as a broadcaster on the Sailfish Sports Network. 

"I am so thankful we were able to bring Owen back in an elevated capacity. He was a huge asset to our department in his first year with us, and I'm excited to see how he continues to develop professionally," Assistant AD of Athletic Communications Cole Helman adds.

Prior to his time at PBA, he spent time interning for the communications teams at the Carolina Hurricanes and NC State women's basketball as well as a recruiting operations intern for NC State football. Anderson graduated with a B.A. in communication and a concentration in public relations from NC State in Raleigh, North Carolina.
