Owen joined PBA as an athletic communications assistant in the fall of 2024. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications before the 2025-26 school year. In his time with the Sailfish, Owen has served as the primary contact for women's soccer, women's basketball, cross country, tennis, golf, and baseball.Â
Previously, Owen interned for the Carolina Hurricanes as a part of their media relations team, with NC State women's basketball as a communications assistant and with NC State football as a recruiting intern. While at these internships, Anderson fostered relationships with media, coaches and front office members. He learned how to run press conferences, write recaps and keep stats.
Anderson began his college education at Johnston Community College in Smithfield, NC, where he graduated with an A.S. He transferred to North Carolina State University and obtained a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Owen will be furthering his education at Palm Beach Atlantic and pursuing a Master's in Ethics and Organizational Behavior.
Owen is an avid sports fan and attends games whenever time allows. He supports the Carolina Hurricanes, NC State Wolfpack, Cleveland Browns and Chelsea F.C.Â
