WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach Atlantic University Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with the WestGate Leadership Program, a transformative initiative designed to equip Sailfish student-athletes with the tools, character, and confidence to lead in every area of life.
"I would like to thank Rob, Rachel, and all the WestGate donors for their generosity and investment. Palm Beach Atlantic athletics is committed to the holistic development of its student-athletes, spiritually, academically, and athletically," PBA Director of Athletics Courtney Lovely Evans said. "We're thrilled to partner with WestGate to invest in our student-athletes in this deeper way and provide a platform for them to explore their values, embrace their identity, and develop the mindset to lead well beyond their time at PBA."
Launched under the guidance of Rob and Rachel Hatchett, WestGate Leadership is a faith-centered, development-driven program that emphasizes purpose, integrity, and impact. Through interactive sessions, personal mentorship, and real-world application, selected student-athletes will embark on a comprehensive journey to grow as leaders on campus, in their communities, in their future careers, and within their families.
"Rachel and I are certainly honored for the opportunity to team up with PBA and the athletics department as we all strive to empower these great student-athletes to grow into impactful leaders," Rob Hatchett said.
Participants in the program will explore a curriculum rooted in biblical wisdom and proven leadership principles. With an emphasis on character, self-awareness, and servant leadership, WestGate aims to develop well-rounded individuals prepared to lead with excellence and humility.
"The mission Rob and I have through WestGate is to provide leadership development and personal coaching, which then hopefully inspires them to co-create with God a future for themselves full of purpose and influence," Rachel Hatchett said.
Rob and Rachel Hatchett bring a wealth of business, leadership, and entrepreneurial experience to the program. Rob, a successful entrepreneur who sold his digital marketing agency in 2021, and Rachel, a longtime transportation executive and current board member of Covenant Logistics (CVLG), are united by their passion for raising up the next generation of transformational leaders.
Their vision for WestGate is clear: to empower PBA student-athletes to become leaders who lead with love, serve with intention, and inspire through their example.
Students who are interested in applying to be a part of the WestGate leadership program can apply at pbasailfish.com/WestGate. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student to be eligible for the program.
