Things calmed down for a while, but Matthew Faranda added a solo homer himself in the fifth inning. In a big seventh inning, Trey Miranda started it off for PBA by scoring on a wild pitch. Patrick Rakes and Jake McNamara added RBI walks to take a 6-0 lead. Aaron Vetter tacked on an RBI double to clear the bases and give the Sailfish a commanding, 9-0 lead. Nova added a run in each of the seventh and eighth innings, but it was too little too late and the Sailfish came home with the 9-2 victory.
The Sailfish return to the diamond for the final series of the regular season when they take a road trip to Rollins starting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
