ORLANDO, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf team finished in eighth place at the SSC Championships in the three-round tournament.
Justus Verge led the way for the PBA squad in Orlando over the past three days. Verge shot 73, 74, 74 to finish at five-over par for the tournament which was good enough for a T-18th finish. Nicholas Estrada charged up the leaderboard in the final round, climbing 13 spots to T-20th with a final round 70 after shooting 77 and 76 over the first two days.
Raine Holmes was the next Sailfish golfer on the leaderboard coming in at a tie for 31st. Holmes shot 78, 76, and 74 for a final score of 12-over par. Cole Gillis finished the tournament at 17-over par and in a tie for 41st place after shooting 78, 81, and 74. Niko Karoutsos also finished at 17-over and in a tie for 41st place after shooting 81, 78, and 74.
Florida Southern took the win with a team score of three-over par, finishing 13 shots of Embry-Riddle and Barry who tied for second place.
