TAMPA, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's track team returned to Tampa for the Spartans Distance Classic.
The squad started the day with the 1500m race.
Joe Basara led the way for PBA, earning an eighth-place finish with a time of 3:58.42. His performance set a new personal best and is good for the second-best time in program history.
Ethan Wattles (4:06.12) came in 19th followed by
Reece Slater in 20th with a season-best 4:07.88.
Hans Payne finished 24th running a 4:11.08 to round out the PBA lineup.
Carlos Santiago was the fastest Sailfish in the 800m. He finished 13th with a season-best time of 1:59.18, marking the fifth-best time in school history.
Connor Wallace placed 25 running his season best 2:05.13.
Andrew Duda also represented PBA in the race, finishing 36th with a time of 2:14.02.
Hayden Tank was the best finisher for the 'Fish in the 5000m. He set a new personal record and ran the fifth-fastest time in school history, placing 19th with a time of 15:25.23.
Jackson Overholt demolished his personal record by over 20 seconds. He finished 34th with a time of 15:43.15, placing 10th all-time in school history.
Michael Kirwan ran a new personal best, earning 45th with a time of 16:15.41
PBA track is back in action on March 21 at the UCF Black & Gold Invite.
