WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team took on the Warner University Royals on Wednesday afternoon and battled to a 4-3 win.
Marko Visontai and Peter Dragar, playing in the second position, dropped their match first in the doubles session by a score of 2-6. In the first position and the second match to finish, Luis Eduardo Platas and Milan Visontai tied the session up at one by winning their match 6-2. In the third position and the third match to finish, Kylian Coiteux and Saidakbar Kamalov took the win 6-2 to clinch the doubles session point for the Sailfish.
In the fourth position, Peter Dragar grabbed the first point of the singles session for the Sailfish taking a 6-2,6-2 win. Kylian Coiteux, playing in the fifth position, also took his match 6-2,6-2 to give the Sailfish a 3-0 lead. That marks Coiteux's first collegiate singles win. Milan Visontai gave the Sailfish a 4-0 lead and clinch the match for the 'Fish after he won his second position match 6-1,6-4.
Matthew Young dropped his sixth position match by a score of 4-6, 3-6, to give Warner signs of life with the Sailfish only being up 2 matches and the score being 3-1 in favor of PBA. Juanfer Contreras, playing in the third position, dropped a tightly contested matchup 6-3, 6-7(5-7), 0-1(10-8). Luis Eduardo Platas also played a very tight matchup in the first position. He dropped the match 6-3, 5-7, 0-1 (10-7). However, it did not matter as the Sailfish had already clinched the matchup.
The Sailfish men's tennis team returns to action on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. when they take on Fresno Pacific in Orlando.
