West Palm Beach, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped their conference game with the Lynn Fighting Knights on Friday afternoon to drop to 4-10 on the season.
Alejandro Rol Franco and Milan Visontai dropped the first position matchup 4-6. Playing in the second position, Luis Eduardo Platas and Juanfer Contreras took the matchup 7-6. However, Saidakbar Kamalov and Noah Muyale fell 4-6 in the third position and the Fighting Knights took the doubles point.
Milan Visontai started things off strong with a 6-4, 6-3 win in the second position to take the first point of the singles session. Luis Eduardo Platas dropped the first position matchup 1-6, 1-6 to give Lynn back the lead. The Fighting Knights doubled their lead with Alejandro Rol Franco dropping his sixth position matchup 1-6, 1-6.
Juanfer Contreras fought hard in the third position but fell 6-7, 4-6. Marko Visontai, playing in the fifth position, pushed his opponent to a tiebreaker but fell 0-6, 6-4, 0-1 (4-6). Peter Dragar took his fourth position matchup 7-6, 6-4, 1-0(10-8) but the Fighing Knights had already clinched the match.
The Sailfish have a quick turnaround as they host Rollins at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Rinker Athletic Campus.
