WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team took a close win over the Eckerd Tritons on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Juanfer Contreras and Matthew Young won their doubles match 7-6 (7-5), however the Sailfish dropped the doubles point with both pairs, Luis Eduardo Platas and Marko Visontai, and Milan Visontai and Alejandro Rol Franco each dropped their matches.
Luis Eduardo Platas took his singles match 6-3, 6-3 in the first position. Milan Visontai followed it up with a 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 win. Juanfer Contreras took the win 6-5, 5-7, 1-0 (6-0). In the fourth position, Marko Visontai fell 6-7 (4-7), 2-6. Matthew Young fell in the sixth position, 2-6, 0-6.
Alejandro Rol Franco clinched the match for the Sailfish in the fifth position however it was the last match to finish. He took the match 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (7-5).
The Sailfish return to action on Friday, March 28th at 2 p.m. when they host Lynn at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
