WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped two matches on Wednesday against St. Mary's and Barry.
PBA played against St. Mary's in the morning and the Sailfish dropped the match 0-5. Against #12 Barry in the afternoon, the Sailfish fell 0-7. The Sailfish return to action on Saturday afternoon when they head to Eckerd.
Match One
In the doubles session, Alejandro Rol Franco and Kylian Coiteux lost their match by a score 3-6. In the second position, Imani Beharry and Saidakbar Kamalov took the win in their match 6-2. However, Matthew Young and Noah Muyale lost their match and the Rattlers took the doubles point.
Moving onto the singles session, Kylian Coiteux dropped his match in the second position 3-6, 1-6. In the third position, Imani Beharry lost his match 0-6, 0-6. In the fourth position, Saidakbar Kamalov dropped his match 2-6, 3-6. In the fifth position, Noah Muyale lost his matchup 3-6, 3-6.
Matthew Young and Juanfer Contreras were both in third sets but both matches went unfinished.
Match Two
In the second match of the day, the doubles session was not kind to the Sailfish. Alejandro Rol Franco and Milan Visontai lost their match 4-6. Luis Eduardo Platas and Marko Visontai also dropped their match 4-6. In the final doubles match of the day, Peter Dragar and Saidakbar Kamalov lost their match 2-6.
The singles session was much of the same story. Luis Eduardo Platas dropped his match 2-6, 6-7. Milan Visontai took the loss in a 5-7, 2-6 match. In the third session, Juanfer Contreras lost 6-7, 3-6. In the fourth position, Peter Dragar lost 1-6, 3-6. Marko Visontai dropped his match in a very tight contest, 3-6, 7-5, 0-1 (7-10). In the final match of the singles session, Alejandro Rol Franco lost his match 2-6, 1-6.
