WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped their Monday morning matchup with the Mississippi College Choctaws.
The Sailfish dropped the doubles point after losing two out of three matches in the session. Alejandro Rol Franco and Milan Visontai took their opponent down in their match by a score of 6-4. However, Peter Dragar and Saidakbar Kamalov dropped their second position matchup by a score of 4-6. Finally, in the third position, Matthew Young and Juanfer Contreras fought but lost by a score of 6-7 in a tight match.
In today's matches, the Sailfish and Choctaws played a clinching match. So, whichever team reached four matches won first would win the match.
In the second position, Milan Visontai dropped his match 4-6, 4-6. In the third position, Juanfer Contreras lost his match by the same score. Playing out of the fourth position, Saidakbar Kamalov lost his match 3-6, 6-0. Those three wins clinched the match for the Choctaws.
Luis Eduardo Platas, Imani Beharry, and Alejandro Rol Franco were all in third sets when the Choctaws clinched the match and did not finish.
The Sailfish return to action on Wednesday when they take on a St. Mary's and Barry in the same day at 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m respectively.
