MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team started its season with a nonconference matchup against No.4-ranked Barry.
The day started with doubles play.
Matthew Young and
Imani Beharry finished first at No. 3 but dropped their match 6-1.
Juanfer Contreras and
Luis Eduardo Platas competed at No. 1 doubles, but came up short 6-3, clinching the doubles point for the Bucs.
Marko Visontai and
Milan Visontai played at No. 2 doubles, losing 6-3.
Peter Dragar dropped his match at No. 4 singles to Leo Caill, 6-0, 6-2.
Noah Muyale came up short at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-1, to making it a 3-0 advantage for Barry. Ma. Visontai dropped his match at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-1, clinching the match for the Bucs.
Contreras fell at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2. Platas was defeated at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2. Mi. Visontai competed well at No. 2 singles, but came up short, 7-5, 6-2.
The Sailfish compete again on Saturday, Feb. 8. The match in Daytona Beach starts at 12 p.m.
