WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Juan Hermoso and Tin Vastic earned All-American Honors from the D2CCA and the United Soccer Coaches, respectively. The teams were announced this week by the respective organizations.
Tin Vastic, named to the United Soccer Coaches third team, had thirteen goals and one assist on the season. The junior forward scored a few big goals for the Sailfish, including a hat trick at Wingate and the overtime winner in the SSC quarterfinals against Florida Southern.
Juan Hermoso, SSC defender of the year, was named to the D2CCA first team. Hermoso played in every game for the 'Fish and was a stalwart on the back line while also tallying 5 goals on the season. He had the game-winning goal against Tusculum early in the season, two goals against Florida Tech and a late equalizer against Rollins.
Hermoso and Vastic are the first All-American honorees since Michael Pahr and Quenzi Huerman received honors at the end of the 2021 season.
