CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team traveled to Tennessee for the Flames Invitational on Friday.
PBA started with the 1500m race.
Alyssa Benson led the way for PBA, running a new personal record 5:10.80, finishing in 33
rd.
Caitlyn Christie earned 41
st with a time of 5:19.29.
Allison Seng was the best Sailfish finisher in the 5000m. She ran a season best time of 18:09.65, good enough for 25
th place.
Hannah Parker set a new personal record, running 18:32.05 in 37
th place.
Margaret Myskowski placed 48
th with a personal best time of 18:51.63.
Sadie Nordmeyer (18:59.60) finished 55
th, setting a new personal record.
Ella Malone (19:07.08) earned 61
st place, just ahead of Nella Petersen (19:23.53) in 65
th.
Gwendelyn Shamel rounded out PBA's lineup, running a time of 19:35.80 in 70
th place.
Emma Hanstveit had the highlight of the meet for PBA. She set the new program record in the 10k. She finished in fifth with a time of 36:31.80.
The next meet for the Sailfish takes place in Palm Beach County. PBA will compete in the Keiser Outdoor Twilight Invitational on Friday evening.
