WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. - The men's tennis team competed in their second to last match of the season this Tuesday afternoon against Lynn University. The 'Fish lost 5-2.
The two earned points came from Juan Fernandez and Matthew Young in singles play. Fernandez's opponent retired very early in the game having only completed one game. The final score was 1-0 in Fernandez's favor. Young won his close match up 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) making it his first collegiate win in singles play. On court one, Roberto Binaghi dropped his match 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. Luis Eduardo Platas lost 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) on court two. Juanifer Contreras fell 6-2, 7-5, while on court four Axel Reich was downed by his opponent 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles play, the tandem of Binaghi and Platas won their match 7-5. Playing second doubles, Peter Drager and Marko Visontai dropped their match 6-3. Noah Muyale and Joseph Remirez fell 6-2 on court three.
