DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team traveled to Embry-Riddle for a two-day event.
The Sailfish started the meet on Friday, beginning with the 1500m.
Emma Hanstveit led the way for the Sailfish, earning sixth place with a personal best time of 4:50.58.
Ella Malone followed in 12th running a personal best time of 5:32.80. Nella Petersen (4:59.95) PR'ed in 17th right in front of Gwendolyn Shamel (5:00.48) in 18th.
Hannah Parker earned 27th in 5:06.23, besting her previous best time by 24 seconds.
Caitlyn Christie ran a 5:10.20 to place 33rd in the 1500m. Margaret Myskowsi finished in 39th with a time of 5:14.99, right in front of
Sadie Nordmeyer in 40th, running a time of 5:15.35.
Alyssa Benson ran 5:19.70 to earn 44th.
Angelina Baader finished 47th with a 5:20.52 time.
Faith Kulis set a new personal record in 55th with a time of 5:28.22.
Anya Frey also PR'ed with a time of 5:29.15 in 56th.
Julia Kooyer ran a season-best 5:39.90 in 61st.
Ava Spampanato rounded out PBA's lineup in 69th, running a 5:46.20.
Chloe Smith and
Darah Oniwa ran the 5000m race for the 'Fish. Smith (20:34.55) finished in 28th, setting a new personal best time, beating her old mark by 21 seconds. Oniwa (20:55.36) earned 29th with a personal record.
On Saturday, Kulis set a personal record in the 800m. She ran a personal best time of 2:34.45 and earned 39th place.
Joni Dice competed in the discus. She threw a distance of 28.37 earning 16th.
PBA track competes again on April 5 at the Flames Invitational hosted by Lee University.
