WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball team faced off in a game of epic proportions against SSC opponent Florida Southern on Saturday. The Mocs (15-5, 9-2 SSC) entered the game receiving votes in the NABC top 25.

Both teams had a chance to get a shot up at the end of the first, second, and third overtime periods that could've ended the game, but both defenses held strong. Attrition finally came back to bite the Sailfish in the fourth overtime after
Broderick Ellis and
Grant Ledford each fouled out. FSC pulled away down the stretch to win 117-110 in the fourth overtime.

Each team only scored six points in the first overtime period. McNair tied the game at 80 after grabbing a tough offensive rebound. Both teams took two shots to take the lead down the stretch but couldn't get anything to fall, resulting in the second overtime.

Montalvo made a clutch 3-pointer with 28 seconds to go in the third overtime to make it 102-102. FSC held for the final possession as the clock ticked down. Ellis came up with an emphatic rejection on a layup attempt that kept the game tied and forced another overtime.
Lee knocked down a corner 3-pointer to make it 109-106 with three minutes to play in the fourth overtime, but Florida Southern answered by working their way to the free-throw line. Eight of the last 11 points scored by FSC came at the charity stripe. The Sailfish did not have one last gasp in them, dropping the game to the Mocs, 117-110.
