ORLANDO, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf team competed in the DII National Preview earlier this week. The Sailfish finished 8th after three rounds of play at the Orange County National Golf Course.
Raines Holmes finished 17th individually in the tournament and had an average score of 72.7 for the three rounds. Holmes finished round one in 44th and round two in 23rd before making it to 17th to finish the tournament.
Cade Coffey also found himself in 17th place and was the highest finisher for all three rounds of play. He also had an average score of 72.7.
Another notable performer for the 'Fish was
Justus Verge, who finished 31st after round three. Verge also had a solid round-two finish, placing 26th, which would be his best of the weekend. He shot an average of 74 for the tournament.
The Sailfish are back at it again Monday, Sept. 18., where they will compete at the Saint Leo Griffin Invite, which will be hosted at the country club of Petersburg.
