WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team had three members earn Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Svea Crohn, Elvira Edstrom, and Cecilia Peroni were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

The 2023 Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Svea Crohn appeared in 14 singles and doubles matches this season for the 'Fish. Crohn notched a victory in singles and doubles play in PBA's 4-3 win over Ferris State on Mar. 10.  The Germany native transferred from Washburn University prior to the '23 season. 

Elvira Edstrom leads the Sailfish in career victories with 27 singles wins and 31 doubles wins. This season the Sweden native picked up a singles win in PBA's 7-0 SSC victory over Eckerd on Mar. 20. Additionally, Edstrom notched singles wins at No. 18 Florida Southern and at No. 2 Nova Southeastern this year. The Sailfish graduate student has made the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll four times, the Provost's List eight times and was named an ITA Scholar Athlete three times. 

Cecilia Peroni finished her sophomore campaign with a career high in singles wins with seven. The Italy native won four consecutive singles matches from Mar. 3 to Mar. 12. The Sailfish Sophomore has tallied 13 singles wins in her career. The PBA pair of Peroni and Greta Langiu led the Sailfish in doubles wins this season with three. Majoring in psychology, Peroni made the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Provost's List in the spring of 2022.
