CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team traveled to Lee University to compete in the Flames Invitational on Friday.
PBA started the day with the 10k. The program record book was rewritten as
Laura Georgelin ran the fastest time in school history. She finished 18th with a time of 37:16.84.
Allison Seng ran the second-fastest time in program history. She finished 22nd with a time of 37:28.33.
The next event was the 1500m race.
Aoife Mahony led the Sailfish, placing 23rd with a time of 4:51.28.
Ella Malone also competed in the event. She finished 59th with a time of 5:13.91.
The Sailfish ended the day with the 5k.
Madelyn Rodriguez finished seventh with a time of 17:11.91. Rodriguez improved her personal best time by 18 seconds and currently holds the second-fastest 5k in school history.
Dune Costes ran the third-fastest time in school history. She finished 22nd with a time of 17:37.60.
Gwendelyn Shamel (19:21.97) and
Sadie Nordmeyer (19:27.00) placed 76th and 77th respectively.
PBA competes again on April 28th at the North Florida East Cost Relays hosted by the University of North Florida.
