Rodriguez, Costes Set Records at East Coast Relays

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team continued its season at the East Coast Relays, hosted by UNF.

The Sailfish started the meet on Friday with the 1500m race. Madelyn Rodriguez was the top finisher for PBA, finishing 13th amongst several NCAA Power-5 programs. She ran a time of 4:33.89. Aoife Mahony placed 18th in the event with a time of 4:39.32. Ella Malone was 66th with a time of 5:09.10.

Dune Costes competed in the 3000m steeplechase for the 'Fish. She finished sixth, setting a school record with a time of 11:11.43.

Allison Seng represented the 'Fish in the 5000m. She placed 24th with a time of 18:18.30. Gwendelyn Shamel finished 38th in the event with a time of 19:10.43.

On Saturday, PBA competed in the 800m. Rodriguez broke her own school record in the event. She finished 24th with a time of 2:14.89. Mahoney finished 40th with a time of 2:19.92. Ella Malone ran the eighth-fastest time in school history, finishing 58th with a time of 2:27.50.

The Sailfish have one more regular season meet left on the schedule. PBA heads to Lee University for its Last Chance Meet on May 13 in Tennessee.
