MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped its regular season finale to No. 3 Barry 7-0.
The 'Fish were swept in doubles play. On doubles court one,
Blake Williams and
Marko Visontai were defeated 6-1. The PBA duo of
Luis Eduardo Platas and
Juanfer Contreras fell 6-3. On doubles court three,
Juan Fernandez and
Michal Precikowski were downed 6-3.
On singles court one, Platas fell 6-3 in consecutive sets. Williams dropped his match 6-3, 6-4. Contreras was defeated 6-1, 6-2. On singles court four, Fernandez fell 6-1, 6-0. PBA freshman
Peter Drager took his first set to a tiebreaker but was defeated 7-6 (7-2), 6-1. On singles court six, Precikowski dropped his match 7-6 (7-2), 6-0.
PBA concluded its 16th regular season in program history. PBA freshman
Marko Visontai led the Sailfish with six wins in singles play. Additionally, the doubles tandem of
Luis Eduardo Platas and
Juanfer Contreras earned the most doubles wins for the 'Fish this season with six. The Sunshine State Conference Tournament starts on Thursday Apr. 20 at IMG Academy.
