BRADENTON, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team completed its 16th season in program history at IMG Academy. The seventh-seeded Sailfish dropped the SSC Tournament quarterfinal to the two-seed Barry 4-0.
In doubles play the PBA tandem of
Luis Eduardo Platas and
Juanfer Contreras were defeated 6-0 by BU's Alessandro Giuliato and Adam Lynch. On doubles court three, the Sailfish duo of
Peter Drager and
Axel Reich fell 6-1 to Tim Buttner and Alessio Demichelis.
As for singles play, on singles court four Contreras dropped his match to Tim Buttner 6-1, 6-0.
Juan Fernandez fell 6-0 in consecutive sets to Adam Lynch. On singles court six,
Marko Visontai was defeated 6-1, 6-2 by Bastien Rieme.
The '23 Sailfish tennis season is concluded. PBA's
Marko Visontai ends his freshman campaign has the team-leader in singles wins with six. Additionally, the doubles pair of
Luis Eduardo Platas and
Juanfer Contreras led the 'Fish in doubles wins this year with six.
