WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic took on their Palm Beach County rival Lynn University at the famous Ballpark of the Palm Beaches earlier this evening. The 'Fish took the win 9-5, out hitting the Knights 12-11.
PBA got off to a great start in the first inning.
Matty Warren would lead off with a walk and manage to swipe two bases to put himself into scoring position.
Mikey Casaleggio would add to his RBI totals with a left field single to bring Warren in, his team-leading 26th on the season. Lynn would take the lead in the top of the second on a two run shot out to left field, but the 'Fish would quickly retake the lead in the third inning and never looked back.
Matthew Faranda would help get a run across in the bottom of the third inning with a sacrifice fly ball. In the fourth, the Fighting Knights would make an error to bring a PBA run and
Matty Warren would earn an RBI single later in the inning.
Ben Green was able to get himself out of his minor slump with a two-RBI double out to deep left field.
Lynn would try to cut the lead down in the seventh, but the 'Fish would seal the game with three runs to put the game away. The Fighting Knights would score late, but the Sailfish would shut them down in the ninth. This is a solid win for the 'Fish as they try to make a final push with only 12 conference games left in the season.
