SATELLITE BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped its match to the St. Mary's Rattlers 5-2.
The Sailfish were successful in doubles play. PBA took two out of three doubles matches to win the doubles point. On doubles court one, the PBA tandem of
Marko Visontai and
Blake Williams earned their third doubles victory of the season over Oskar Irdoja and Ryan Koth 6-1. The Sailfish duo of
Juanfer Contreras and Luis Edaurdo Platas defeated Jake Faryniarz and Nicholas Llosa 6-2. Contreras and Eduardo Platas (5-2) lead the 'Fish in doubles play with five wins this season. On doubles court three,
Peter Drager and
Juan Fernandez dropped their match 6-0.
The 'Fish picked up one victory in singles play. On singles court six, Visontai picked up his third singles victory of the season in three sets. The Hungary native defeated Sebastion Azcui 6-3, 3-6, 10-4. Four of the six matches in singles play required a third set. On singles court one,
Roberto Binaghi fell 6-4, 7-5. Platas took his match to a third set tiebreaker, but was defeated 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3.) Williams was defeated 6-2, 6-4. Contreras dropped his match 6-0, 4-6, 6-2. PBA freshman
Axel Reich fell in three sets 7-6, 5-7, 10-8.
