Sailfish Stay Hot in Game Two Win Over AIC

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- PBA baseball improved their record here at J.M. "Jake" Rubin Park with another offensive showcase in their second game against American International College. The 'Fish stayed hot coming off their 16-3 win over the Yellow Jackets the night before, taking the second of this four-game set 13-5.

The Sailfish jumped out to a quick early lead in the bottom of the first inning. Pedro Figueroa earned himself an RBI double to kick things off in his first start since injury and Mikey Casaleggio would produce a sacrifice fly ball out to center field that allowed Figueroa to cross home plate. The Yellow Jackets of AIC didn't want a repeat of Friday night's game and came out swinging early. They tallied four unanswered runs in the top of the second to take the lead.

Dre Llopiz would single up the middle to drive in a run in the third inning to cut the deficit to just one before PBA exploded in the fourth inning. Giovany Lorenzo would reach base on a walk to lead things off. He would come around to score after Michael Schettino singled up the middle. The Sailfish would load the bases and a double from freshman Ben Green would score two runs. Pedro Figueroa would add to his flawless day at the plate with another RBI single and Mikey Casaleggio would tally another sacrifice fly ball out to left field to give PBA an 8-4 lead over the Yellow Jackets.

PBA continued to spray the ball all around the field in this game, totaling 15 on the day. A big performance in today's game came from Ben Green. After being one home run short of hitting for the cycle in Friday's game, Green would go 3-6 with three doubles, two RBIs, and would come around to score three times.

PBA also got things done on the defensive side as well. They were able to weather the four-run outburst from the Yellow Jackets largely in part by the relief pitching effort from Nick Adams. Adams would get the win in just over six innings pitched, five hits, only one earned run, and sat five AIC batters down on strikes.

PBA will look to continue to stay hot as they take on AIC for the third time tomorrow.
