ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Yesterday evening, the PBA men's golf team finished up the 2023 Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate, hosted by Lincoln Memorial University. The Sailfish got off to a slow start, but finished strong in the later rounds. They earned their first top three placement of the spring season, finishing even across all three rounds.
Andrew Riley led the way for PBA. He would end the final round -4 to earn a second place overall finish. Riley would notch 15 total birdies across all three rounds to help the overall team finish. Freshman
Justus Verge would also provide a big contribution for the Sailfish in this tournament. Verge would end his day in 17th place with three birdies in his final round. Calahan Keever from Anderson University was the overall individual winner with a final score of -17. Anderson also took the team win as well with three golfers in the top 15.
Carl St-Arnaud finished in a tie for 44th place,
Cade Coffey finished in a tie for 47th place, and
Trey Tesiero finished in a tie for 53rd place to round out the final placements for PBA. The Sailfish will tee off again on Feb. 20 for the Saint Leo Invitational.
