FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's golf team placed 6th out of 16 teams at the Nova Southeastern Shark Invite on Tuesday. After an outstanding performance at the Flagler Jay Jennison Cup, the Sailfish followed with their second best finish of the season. 

Florida Southern captured the tournament win at first place and SSC foe Saint Leo finished in second. Union University-TN took third, Lynn Universtiy fourth, and Shorter University in fifth to round out the top five. 

Some notable performers for the 'Fish were Sophomores Cade Coffey and Justus Verge. Coffey found himself in the top 10 after placing ninth and shooting a 71.3 average through the three rounds. Verge was one stroke shy of Coffey's score and tied at 10th place. Another notable performer was Trey Tesiero who had a top 25 finish where he tied at 24th place. Tesiero coming off a first-place finish last week shot a 73 average for the tournament.

The Sailfish dealt with a lot of weather issues in day one of action and had to pause through round 2 and finish on the final day of the tournament. PBA brought along eight players total to compete and as a team they shot 296 in round 1. 295 in round 2, and 288 in round 3. 

The men's golf team has one more tournament left in the fall season after competing every week for the last month. They will travel to Orlando, Fla. to compete at the Citrus Intercollegiate at the Championsgate Golf Club.
