Payton Ahrenstorff transfers to PBA from the University of Northern Iowa. She comes to PBA from Spirit Lake, Iowa. She served as a defensive specialist for a Panthers team that won a match at the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Championship in the fall. She finished her UNI career with 543 digs, 130 assists, & 56 service aces.

“Payton is a great addition to PBA Volleyball,” Walters said. “She is an outstanding libero coming from one of the Top 40 Division I volleyball programs in the country. She has been very well trained and does great work in serve receive and defense. She is also very aggressive at the service line and is well known for her strong work ethic and leadership on her team. She loves Jesus and has received great recognition for her service in the community. We are thrilled to add Payton to our program with the experience and leadership that she will provide our young core of defensive specialists on our roster.”

Stephanie Boyer is a libero from Waterloo, Iowa. She is a product of Columbus Catholic High School and CIA Volleyball Club. She totaled over 1,000 digs for her high school team and led her club team to a top-20 finish at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in 2022.

"Stephanie attended our camp last summer and immediately stood out to us,” coach Walters said. “She is a very aggressive defender, and our favorite part is her abilities in serve receive. She has been trained in serve receive in the exact same methods that we use which will make her adjustment to our system much easier and prepare her for the fall. She is very excited to grow in her relationship with the Lord during her time at PBA, and I look forward to seeing her growth during her time here."

Madison Jacobs comes to PBA from Ocala, Fla. She is set to graduate from Vanguard High School and played for Ocala Power Volleyball Club. She led Vanguard to the FHSAA 5A state semifinals in 2022. She also led her club team to an appearance at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships this past fall.

"Maddie came to camp last summer and really impressed,” coach Walters said. “She plays defense very aggressively and reads the court well, placing herself in the prime position to play the ball. She also has been trained in serve receive the exact way that we teach it here at PBA and in the SSC which is a HUGE plus! She is excited to grow in her relationship with God during her time at PBA, and I know she will do some big things with a strong work ethic!"

Alex McGeehan is a 6’3” middle/right side hitter from Blaine, Minnesota. She attended Totino Grace HS and played for the Minnesota Select Volleyball Club. In her high school career, she earned All-Conference and All-Area honors. She was ranked as the No. 6 middle hitter in Minnesota by PrepDig.com. She led the Minnesota Select team to an appearance at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in 2022.

"Alex is a player that we were able to watch and track at several major club events last season,” coach Walters said. “Every time we saw her, she continued to impress. “She was highly recruited by several great DI & DII programs and is a super explosive attacker especially off one foot with a slide type of approach. She is one of the top middles in Minnesota, a state that has many top players. She is a strong Christian and is most excited about growing in that part of her life during her time at PBA. We are thrilled to welcome Alex to the Sailfish Volleyball family!"

Ally Schmidt is a 6’1” outside hitter who hails from Overland Park, Kansas. She attended Blue Valley Southwest High School and played for MAVS volleyball club. She earned all-conference for her high school team as a junior and led her club team to an appearance at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in Indianapolis in 2022.

"Ally is a great student-athlete that Coach Casey discovered while recruiting last season at Nationals in Indianapolis,” coach Walters said. “She made an immediate impression with her size, vertical, and explosiveness on offense and in her blocking game. In discussions with her after Nationals, she came down for our camp last summer where I had the chance to see her for the first time. She has a strong desire to grow in her relationship with Christ while she is here."

Lily Thomason joined PBA for the 2023 spring semester after spending three years at Auburn. She is from Castle Pine, Colorado and graduated from Valor Christian High School. She was the starting outside hitter for Auburn in 2019, recorded double digit kills five times. In high school, she was named second team all-state honors her junior year, followed by earning first team all-state honors her senior season. 

"We are very excited to welcome Lily to the Sailfish Volleyball family,” coach Walters said. “Lily joined us in January which will give us the opportunity to have her work with us and play with us during the spring season as we prepare for the 2023 campaign. Lily is the definition of a terminal outside hitter that will add exactly what we need in that position on our team moving forward. She has a great relationship with Jesus and is really looking forward to growing in her relationship with Him during her time at PBA. We are thrilled to have Lily on the squad for the next two seasons!"
